President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Hadiza Usman as the new managing director of the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA.
A statement on the official Twitter
handle of the Nigerian presidency on Tuesday, July 11, 2016 confirmed
the appointment of Ms. Usman, who is a member of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, and founder of the political #BringBackOurGirls’s
movement, a forum used to push a negative media narrative against the
government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The president also appointed three
others into the board of the Nigerian Ports Authority. Mohammed
Bello-Koko is executive director in charge of finance, Professor Idris
Abubakar is executive director in charge of engineering, while Dr.
Sekonte Davies, is executive director of marine operations
